Terms of service

The short version: be a good neighbor, your community's data stays yours, and we'll be straight with you. The details are below, in plain English.
The service
OurHOA provides software that helps homeowners' associations and similar communities manage dues, records, communication, and their community website. We host the software; your community owns its data and its decisions.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Board members with elevated access agree to use that access only for legitimate association business. You must be authorized by your community to set it up on OurHOA.
Payments and billing
Paid plans are billed as described on our pricing page. Dues payments between residents and their association are processed by Stripe; OurHOA is not a bank and does not hold association funds. Fees for the software are charged to the association, and you can cancel at any time - your plan stays active through the period you paid for.
Acceptable use
Don't use OurHOA to break the law, harass neighbors, send spam, or attempt to access another community's data. We may suspend accounts that put other users or the service at risk.
Content and records
Your community keeps ownership of everything it uploads. You grant us the limited license we need to store and display that content to your community. Boards are responsible for the accuracy of their records and for complying with their state's laws and their own governing documents.
Not legal or financial advice
OurHOA is software. Our guides, reminders, and compliance features are general information to help volunteer boards stay organized - they are not legal, tax, or financial advice, and they don't replace your governing documents or a professional's judgment.
Warranty and liability
We work hard to keep OurHOA fast, secure, and available, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount your community paid us in the twelve months before a claim.
Changes and contact
If we make material changes to these terms we'll notify account owners by email. Questions? Reach us at [email protected].
